Research focus

»My research agenda lies at the intersections of family, health, and wellbeing to address how structural conditions, such as social welfare policies and socioeconomic inequality, shape families’ roles in social support, health, and the wellbeing of older adults across different societies. My geographic areas of interest include Latin America and the Caribbean, South East Asia, and Europe. Among other research topics, I am currently working on the DFG-funded project 'IN-CARE: How are varying care systems associated with inequalities in care and wellbeing in later life?'.«
