Presentations by Alina Schmitz and Martina Brandt
Alina Schmitz and Martina Brandt will be presenting at the joint digital congress of the German Society for Medical Psychology (DGMP) and the German Society for Medical Sociology (DGMS) on 16-17 September 2021. One presentation will be dedicated to the topic "Inequalities in well-being in Europe's elderly population: What is the role of regional care infrastructure?", which highlights the importance of care services for well-being in old age. Another presentation by Alina Schmitz on "Depressive symptoms following widowhood: the contribution of loneliness and financial difficulties in a gender and country comparison" examines the (gender-specific) consequences of widowhood on mental health.
