As part of the 14th German Seniors' Day in Mannheim, which attracted around 15,000 visitors, a symposium was held on the Federal Government's Ninth Report on Ageing.

The Ageing Report Commission, chaired by Prof. Dr. Martina Brandt, presented the report's key findings and recommendations. The commission then discussed political approaches to improving the participation of older people with Lisa Paus, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

The symposium was met with great interest - numerous representatives of senior citizens' organizations, the Federal Association of Senior Citizens' Organizations (BAGSO), the Federal Association of Senior Citizens' Offices (BaS) and other specialist institutions took part and contributed to the discussion with great commitment.
