How can care be ensured in the network and how does the care arrangement influence the well-being of those involved?

These and more questions were discussed by the international board (Martina Brandt, Alice de Boer, Karen Glaser, Martijn Huisman, Norah Keating, Theo van Tilburg, Ellen Verbakel) with the project team (PI: Marjolein Broese van Groenou, Jens Abbing, Silvia Klokgieters, Joukje Swinkels; Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam)) of the project “FAMCARE: The changing role of families in care networks and wellbeing of older adults in the Netherlands”.

The focus was on the effects of informal and/or formal care on the well-being of care recipients and caregivers.
The exchange showed that care is not a family matter, but a shared and social task.

The day ended smoothly on a canal tour - with room for discussions, networking and ideas.
