Doc Day on 13.03.2026
Today was our Doc Day at the Chair of Social Structure and Sociology of Ageing Societies.
Seven doctoral students presented their current state of research and gave exciting insights into their projects. The topics were as diverse as they were relevant:
- Socioeconomic status in childhood and cognitive abilities
- Social participation of people with dementia
- Intergenerational relationships
- Digital inequalities in old age
- "Social frailty and healthcare utilization
- Queer ageing
- Volunteering in old age
Many thanks to all doctoral students for their exciting presentations and to all participants for the inspiring exchange. The day ended with a nice, informal get-together. A great opportunity to talk about research, ideas and future projects.
