New chapter on health inequalities in the second half of life by Martina Brandt, Nekehia T. Quashie and Alina Schmitz published in the Handbook of Health Inequalities across the Life Course. The article "Health inequalities in older age: the role of socioeconomic resources and social networks across the life course in context" provides an overview of current research findings and methodological challenges in comparative aging research. Following theoretical concepts on social and health inequalities in old age, the role of social networks and contextual factors for well-being is highlighted.
