Pia Friedrichs, a doctoral student supervised by Martina Brandt (Hans Böckler Foundation's “New Challenges in Aging Societies” doctoral program), took part in the #FISForum2025 in Leipzig, where she presented a poster on her dissertation topic.

Pia Friedrichs is writing her doctoral thesis on the role of integration assistance in the context of dementia. In her dissertation, she examines why this instrument has hardly been used to date and how it can help improve the participation and care of people with dementia.

Under the motto “Solidarity in the welfare state,” the forum offered exciting discussions, diverse panels, and valuable insights into current socio-political challenges.

The exchange with other doctoral candidates, colleagues from the Hans Böckler Foundation, and representatives of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs was extremely productive.
